Not much to say on this one. These are more panels that I had drawn toward the beginning. Still trying to get used tothe digital medium, however with school just starting back up again, I haven’t had as much time (any, actually) to practice.
These are actually some of the first panels I created. When I was sketching, I just started drawing what came to mind, and what came to mind was sorely out of sequence with the story. I guess my mind is broken.
The most current comic isn’t showing on the front page because I’m having trouble with comic press. There is some setting I have incorrect or something I did different from the norm, but it’s not working like it should out of the box. It’s not just me, someone else in the support forums is having the same problem. I’m pouring through the wordpress codex and learning PHP as I go so I can try and fix it, but in the meantime, you may have to navigate using the archives link on the right. Sorry for the inconvenience.
This page was created on a tablet pc laptop from start to finish. Usually I will do my pencil sketches the old fashioned way with pencil and paper, but for this page I used Alias Sketchbook for the sketches. I’m starting to get a little more comfortable with the digital medium, and it’s taking less time to finish the pages as a result.
As you can see in this page, I’m playing around with different highlighting methods. Still haven’t come up with one that I like yet, that feels right. There are a few more that I’m going to try and I’m also going to try out different software. This page is a bit wordy, and manipulating the word bubbles was a pain in the ass. I need to work on saying more with fewer words. I also think there probably should have been some transition panel between the commander and the lieutenant being on screen.
